PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Online rumors are claiming that Charlie Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk and their organization, Turning Point USA, have filed a $400 million lawsuit against billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros.

The lawsuit is said to be over an alleged defamation campaign that aimed to silence conservative voices and manipulate public perception. Let us fact-check the claim.

Claim: Erika Kirk files lawsuit against George Soros

A post circulated on X, and said, “Erika Kirk and Turning Point USA are suing George Soros for $400 million over an alleged online slander campaign targeting Charlie Kirk. They're accusing Soros-funded networks of orchestrating a smear operation to silence conservative voices and manipulate public perception. The tide is turning. The people who thought they could attack Patriots without consequence are finally being exposed. Justice is coming”.

Fact Check: False as the claim is from a satire account

The claim, however, originated from a satirical source, America's Last Line of Defense, that published it on its page on Facebook on October 14, 2025.

The page on Facebook is part of the America's Last Line of Defense network of satire websites run by self-professed liberal troll Christopher Blair from Maine in association with a loose confederation of friends and allies.

Those websites and Facebook pages display visible satire disclaimers everywhere and mostly publish made-up stories with headlines specifically created to trigger Republicans, conservatives, and evangelical Christians into angrily sharing or commenting on the story on social media without actually reading the full article, exposing them to mockery and ridicule by fans of the sites and pages.

Thereby, proving the claim to be false.

Every site in the network has an about page that reads (in part): "About Satire. Before you complain and decide satire is synonymous with "comedy"."

As of now, there is no evidence that Erika Kirk has filed a lawsuit against Soros. Searches on Google News, Yahoo News, Public Access to Court Electronic Records portal (PACER), and Google Scholar showed no such results.

Additionally, the alleged lawsuit was not mentioned on Erika’s Instagram, TPUSA website, press releases, or in any of its social media handles.

George Soros has long been a frequent subject of right-wing criticisms for his explicit stance against conservative voices across the world. The alleged lawsuit fits into this broader narrative.

Turning Point USA is an organization co-founded by the slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead during a public debate event at Utah Valley University on September 10. His wife, Erika, has often become associated with such claims.
