The post was accompanied by a link to an article that stated that a source close to the ethics board said, “Golden Globes LLC can’t put its name behind an honor of that magnitude when the recipient is so controversial.” It further stated that the award will instead go to Keanu Reeves.
The claim drew mixed reactions from online users, with many praising the alleged move and slamming the 70-year-old, suggesting they believe it to be true. Meanwhile, a few others questioned the claim’s authenticity, prompting a fact-check.

However, the claim is false, as there is no evidence that the Golden Globes canceled Goldberg’s Lifetime Achievement Award over her views. There are no official announcements or statements from the board that support the viral assertion.
A search on Google for the claim yielded no credible reports by prominent news and entertainment outlets about the award being canceled and instead given to Keanu Reeves. There is also no such organization called the Golden Globe Ethics Board.
Moreover, the claim originated from a popular Facebook parody account called ‘America’s Last Line Of Defense,’ which describes in its bio as "Nothing on this page is real."

Goldberg has received three Golden Globe Award nominations, winning two, one for Best Actress for 'The Color Purple' in 1986 and the other for Best Supporting Actress for 'Ghost' in 1991.
