LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rumors about Kim Kardashian’s love life have been swirling for some time. Now, a new claim is making waves online that she supposedly wants to date a man who earns at least $1 million per week, specifically a lawyer or scientist, not a poor artist. But is that true? Let’s fact-check the claim.

Claim: Kim Kardashian wants to date a man who earns $1M a week

A rumor about Kim Kardashian’s thoughts on her next partner originated from an X user, @frxmzy.

The post began by saying, "Kim Kardashian shuts down rumors of a relationship with Lewis Hamilton, confirming she’s single."

It then exaggerated Kim’s supposed views on her new man, claiming she is "ready for something more mature moving on from rappers athletes and actors." The user went on to share an alleged statement from Kardashian: "My new man has to make at least $1M a week… I need a lawyer or a scientist not a poor artist."

Within hours, the claim went viral, racking up over 2.4 million views at the time of writing. It earned more than 6.6K likes and sparked a flurry of comments, many mocking the alleged statement.

One user wrote, "Lawyer or scientist earning $1M a week? She’s basically asking for a fictional character."

Another questioned, "Does a lawyer or a scientist earn $1M a week? Kim🤣🤣🤣😂"

Some criticized the claim, saying, "There’s nothing ‘more mature’ about it. It’s as superficial as it gets… money over love!"

Fact Check: False, Kim Kardashian never said she wants a man who makes $1M a week

The claim that Kim Kardashian wants to date a lawyer or scientist earning $1 million a week is false. There is no reliable evidence that she ever said she prefers a partner with such a specific profession or income.

Searches of credible news sources and interviews do not show any verified quote in which she mentions wanting to date someone who earns $1 million weekly. Notably, the claim appears to be a misattributed comment from an X user, @frmzy, who shared the alleged statement alongside a three-minute clip from a podcast episode.

In the clip, Kim Kardashian confirms that she is single and says she is comfortable being on her own while focusing on raising her children. When the host asks, “So, I don't know what is your best quality as a partner?” she responds, “I think I'm a really good team player, and I think that I'm I just like, communicate really well. And, like, I'm a really supportive person. So if I, if we're like in it, we're in it, and I'll do everything to support you and. I think I'm a really good partner.”

Later, when asked, “If we had to pick today, are we going rappers? Are we going athletes?” she replies, “Neither neither. I think we're going like lawyers, and like longevity scientists that can give me all their secrets.”

At no point does she mention any requirement about a partner’s weekly salary or make any remark about “poor artists.”
