LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A viral video circulating on social media claims that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds responded to Justin Baldoni's statement about their legal dispute. The claim began spreading after Baldoni released his first public video statement about the case, drawing renewed attention to the legal battle.

Around the same time, paparazzi photos of Lively and Reynolds dining in Canada also circulated online, leading some social media users to connect the two events and speculate that the couple was responding to Baldoni.

Claim: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds responded to Justin Baldoni's statement in a video

The claim originated from an X (formerly Twitter) post shared by Andy Signore, who uploaded a video claiming to show Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively responding to Justin Baldoni's recent statement amid their ongoing 'It Ends With Us' legal dispute.

The post was captioned, "WOW! You will not believe this Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively 'Response' to Justin Baldoni's recent statement! Unreal!!"

In the video, Reynolds appears to make remarks suggesting that he and Lively had spent the past two years trying to expose Baldoni before joking about suing another YouTuber.

The clip also appeared to include claims that the couple discussed suing critics and content creators to suppress coverage of the dispute. It further suggested that Lively influenced creative decisions on 'It Ends With Us', including screenplay credits and authorship, while Reynolds allegedly contributed to the script during the writers' strike.

The video also claimed that the couple sought greater control over the film and its sequel rights and personally targeted Baldoni during the legal battle.

The video began circulating as public interest in the dispute intensified following Baldoni's recent public statement. The lawsuit has remained one of Hollywood's most closely followed legal battles since 2024, with new court filings, public statements, and social media discussions continuing to generate widespread attention and speculation.

Fact Check: Video is AI-generated

The claim is false. The community note under the X post reads, "The featured video is an AI-generated parody and not an actual response from Ryan Reynolds or Blake Lively, who have not publicly commented on Justin Baldoni's statement."

The speculation appears to have started after Lively and Reynolds were seen having lunch on the rooftop of a Mexican restaurant in Canada.

The sighting came just one day after Baldoni posted his first public video statement about his long-running legal dispute with Lively, leading some social media users to wrongly connect the two events.

On July 8, 2026, Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, released a video discussing the emotional impact of the legal battle.

The 'Jane the Virgin' actor said, “We have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years, and it’s not because we haven’t had anything to say, because Lord knows we have, but it just felt like every time we went to make a video like this, we wanted to speak, something was telling us not to. It just didn’t feel like the right time, and we were talking about it and feeling into it and praying about it."
