While many praised the president for the alleged move, others slammed him, with some even accusing the president of being a racist, indicating that many believe the claim is true.
Meanwhile, a few others remained skeptical and called for a fact-check.
Fact Check: Trump made no such comments
However, the claim is false, as there are no relevant reports of the president making such a controversial suggestion.
There are no press releases, official statements, announcements, or social media posts from Trump or the White House about replacing George Floyd’s statue with that of the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), who was killed on September 10, 2025.
Given the controversy of the rumor, if the claim were true, prominent news media outlets would have made sure to widely cover it, even making headlines.

Although Trump did not announce a statue for the slain conservative activist, the president has expressed his respect and admiration for Kirk several times.
In April this year, speaking at TPUSA's 'Build the Red Wall' event, Trump honored Kirk by calling him a "fearless warrior" and friend whose political legacy continues to grow.
"Standing here today is clear to see that Charlie's voice is not silenced; it's roaring and roaring back louder, frankly, than ever before," Trump expressed.
