The claim surfaced in an X post, stating, “Donald Trump is reportedly furious because the presidents and prime ministers of other countries have been posting their photos from the UN General Assembly with Trump edited out of them, as he got edited out of all the World Cup trophy celebration photos.”
The post has garnered more than 100,000 views as of this writing, with many mocking the president and believing the claim is authentic. Meanwhile, a few others dismissed the claim as fake and called for a fact-check.
Fact Check: The claim originated as satire
The claim, however, is false, as there is no evidence that photos of presidents and prime ministers of other countries have been posted from the UNGA with Trump being edited out.
Moreover, there are no group photos or videos from the event showing Trump alongside other world leaders. If the president was really edited out of the photos, prominent news outlets would have reported it, but a Google search for the claim yielded no such reports.
Moreover, the claim was posted by an X account called ‘The Halfway Post,’ which describes itself in the bio as ‘comedy and satire.’
