An X user named @t_al0n, who runs a celebrity-focused account, shared images that appeared to show Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya kissing at a red carpet event for ‘Dune: Part Three.’
The post claimed that Zendaya described the kiss as a scripted scene. The user shared two pictures with the caption, “Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya shared a kiss at the ‘DUNE part 3’ red carpet, something Zendaya described as 'scene scripted kiss'.”
The images show Zendaya wearing a beige gown with a high slit and a green necklace, while Chalamet wears a black, sparkly suit. One image shows the pair kissing, while the other shows them posing closely together.
The pictures appeared to link their rumored off-screen romance to their on-screen relationship as Paul Atreides and Chani in the Dune films.
The post gained more than 4.2 million views within hours and attracted hundreds of replies. Several users joked about how Tom Holland, Zendaya’s longtime partner, might react to the pictures. The responses highlighted fans’ interest in the co-stars’ on-screen chemistry and their personal lives.
The post appeared on October 27, 2026, the same day Warner Bros. released the final trailer for ‘Dune: Part Three.’
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, with an IMAX release planned.
Fact Check: The post originated from a satire account
The claim is false. The viral post originated from a satirical account. The X account @t_al0n describes itself in its bio as a “satirical celebrity gossip account.”
The account shared the post on October 27, 2026, claiming that Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet kissed at a red carpet event for Dune: Part Three.
However, the film has not held its red carpet premiere. No reports confirm that a red carpet event for the film took place around that date.
The images actually come from the Venice Film Festival premiere of the first Dune film on September 3, 2021. Zendaya wore a custom beige Balmain gown with a high slit and a large green Bulgari emerald necklace.
Chalamet wore a black, sparkly Haider Ackermann outfit. The co-stars posed closely and playfully on the red carpet, but they did not kiss.
There is also no evidence that the co-stars shared a real-life kiss at a red carpet event or that Zendaya described such a moment as a “scene-scripted kiss.”
Coverage of their joint appearances at the Venice Film Festival in 2021 and promotional events for ‘Dune and Dune: Part Two’ does not show them kissing. The viral post appears to use their past comments about on-screen kisses being part of their professional work to make the fabricated claim seem believable.
Therefore, the viral images do not show Zendaya and Chalamet kissing at a ‘Dune: Part Three’ red carpet event. The post uses old photos and a satirical caption to create a false impression.
