The post further alleged, "Donald Trump texted me that if my son gets killed, I deserve it because I was a traitor to him." It also stated, "I’d probably get put in jail if I released the texts. That’s our president. That’s the man who says MAGA is everything he wants it to be.”
The post went on to gain more than 332K views and sparked widespread discussion in the comments, with users divided over its credibility.
One user commented, "So she already went out to say basically what was in the text but sharing the actual text is what she's worried about? I'd think creating doubt by merely saying it would cause bigger issues than just releasing the texts. Sounds like hogwash."

Fact Check: True, the post about MTG’s claims involving Trump is true
After reviewing available information on MTG’s claims involving Donald Trump, the post is considered accurate in reflecting her statements. Greene has made public remarks about text messages she says she received from Trump.

Following her resignation from Congress and her increasingly vocal criticism of Trump over issues such as the Jeffrey Epstein files, the Iran conflict, and other political matters, Greene stated that Trump’s public criticism of her and his alleged labeling of her as a “traitor” led to death threats against her and her family.
She further claimed that when she confronted him about these threats via text, Trump responded by saying it was her fault and that she “deserve[d] it,” adding, “If my son gets killed, I deserve it because I was a traitor to him.”
Speaking at The Ron Paul Institute in Clute, Texas, on Saturday, May 2, Greene said she had saved the messages, noting that Trump frequently communicates directly with allies, lawmakers, and public figures via his personal phone. She also speculated, “I’d probably get put in jail if I released them publicly.”
During the same speech, Greene described the threats she and her family allegedly received, stating, “‘You’re a traitor. You deserve to die. You’re a traitor, we’re going to kill you,’” and added that her youngest son was also targeted, quoting threats such as, “‘But it was the one that came in, and they kept coming, [to] my son, my youngest, my baby boy: ‘We’re going to snuff out his life. We’re going to put a bullet in his head.’”
