"As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane," Wasserman said. "I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them."

Following the release of millions of additional pages of records linked by the Justice Department to Epstein last month, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the release also included more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.

The decision came after weeks of criticism that the department was not following a federal law passed in November, which required all Epstein-related files to be made public by December 19.
