WASHINGTON, DC: After Donald Trump launched a sharp attack on MAGA figures like Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, and Megyn Kelly, Jones quickly fired back, calling the criticism unprecedented. In a short video clip, he went further, alleging that Melania Trump is distancing herself from Trump because she believes “the ship is sinking” and has “learned the truth.” He also pointed to her unannounced press appearance, where she addressed rumors related to Jeffrey Epstein. Here’s a closer look at the facts behind the claim that Melania and Trump are parting ways.

Claim: Melania is breaking with Trump, says Alex Jones

Jones is being sued by several victims' families for causing emotional and psychological harm after they lost their children in the Sandy Hook massacre. A Texas jury last month ordered Jones to pay $49.3 million to the parents of 6-year-old Jesse Lewis, one of 26 students and teachers killed in the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. In his remarks, Alex Jones said, “At the end of the day, Elon left eight months ago, saying he’s freed himself from the demonic influences that he’s under. This is a nightmare.” He argued that while he opposes Democrats, he could not support Trump if his statements crossed certain lines, adding, “When Trump’s calling for wiping out a whole civilization… I have to come out and say I don’t support it.”

Jones then brought up Melania Trump, claiming she had made unexpected comments that appeared to contradict Trump. Referring to an alleged unannounced press appearance, he said, “Trump’s own wife came out… and said Epstein’s crimes are real and that she wants the victims in front of Congress.” He interpreted this as a sign of division, adding, “It looks to me like she’s breaking with Trump because she knows the ship is sinking and has found out the truth.”

Continuing his criticism, Jones referenced Elon Musk, claiming he had distanced himself months earlier, and suggested there were unresolved questions surrounding Jeffrey Epstein. He concluded on a grim note, calling the situation “a terrible day” and “a nightmare for America and the world,” while insisting he would continue to “tell the truth” and report what he believes are the facts.

Following Jones’ remarks, a Reddit user also raised a similar question, asking, “Is Melania breaking up with Trump?” The user pointed to her recent statement denying any links to Epstein, "why she suddenly came out with statement denying the claims she was linked with Epstein. "No one said", and asked the congress to support the victims, and give them the chance to testify, and congress gotta act. Epstein wasn't alone. Why is she suddenly saying stuff like this?"

Melania Trump and Donald Trump, who have been married since 2005 and have a son, Barron Trump, are not facing any confirmed marriage issues. As of April 2026, there is no reliable evidence or official statement suggesting that they are separating or getting divorced. So, there is no source supporting Alex Jones’ claim that Melania is breaking with Trump.

This comes after Melania publicly denied any connection to Jeffrey Epstein. She said she was never friends with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and clarified that neither of them had any role in introducing her to Donald Trump. She strongly rejected the claims, calling them false and harmful to her reputation.

About a year ago, while promoting her book, Melania also dismissed rumors about divorcing Trump. She defended her husband and blamed critics for spreading negativity. In interviews and on social media, she described the attacks against him as disturbing and said the situation had been difficult for her and her family.
