Fact Check: Is the video showing US soldier crying after Iran missile attack real?
WASHINGTON, DC: The US and Israel conducted a major joint military operation against Iran on February 28, which led to the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a strike on his Tehran compound.
Following this, Iran responded with waves of retaliatory missile and drone attacks on US bases in the Gulf, Israel, and other regional sites.
Recently, a clip went viral showing a US soldier crying after Iran missile attack. But is there any truth to this? Let us find out below.

A video was shared on X along with the caption, "Don't blame anyone, but Trump. US soldiers are screaming for help after getting hit by Iranian missiles."
The viral clip garnered more than 4 million views, along with 1,700 comments, 4,000 reshares, and 10,000 likes at the time of filing this story.
As of Monday, March 2, the operation persists into its fourth day, with allied forces claiming air superiority over Tehran, with continued strikes to dismantle Iran's missile and nuclear-related capabilities.

Moreover, President Donald Trump indicated that the campaign could extend for four to five weeks or longer, and would involve more US forces, and urged a regime change without a direct ground invasion commitment so far.
Meanwhile, the conflict has sparked widespread international concern, civilian casualties in Iran, protests, and calls for restraint from people around the world.
Fact Check: False, video created using AI
The claims made in the viral clip are false, as the video was generated using artificial intelligence tools. The American flag patch on the soldier's uniform seems to be distorted and does not match the standard design seen on US Army uniforms.
Moreover, the soldier also appears to hold an awkwardly shaped phone with a cracked screen. Fact-checking outlet Boom tested the clip using multiple AI detection tools, and the results showed the presence of AI-generated content in the video.
Furthermore, the results of audio tests confirmed that the voice in the video is not real, assigning it an authenticity score of 8 out of 100.
The air strike was part of a broader 'decapitation' campaign targeting high-ranking Iranian officials. Khamenei was killed alongside several family members and top leaders.
Notably, the operation relied on months of intelligence gathering, primarily by Israel, with significant support from the CIA.
