According to a viral post on X, Vance will appear on a livestream alongside the two young influencers as part of a campaign to attract youth to the Republicans ahead of the election.
The post included a poster showing the trio and announcing today's livestream, along with a caption stating, “Vice President JD Vance, Jake Paul, and Clavicular are reportedly set to appear together on a livestream aimed at mobilizing young voters for Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms.”
The post has garnered more than a million views as of this writing, with critics slamming young influencers for involving in politics, indicating many believe the claim to be authentic. Others expressed skepticism and called for verification.
Fact Check: The claim originated as satire
However, the claim is false, as there are no such announcements from the three about a livestream to attract young voters.
A review of their social media handles found no such post or announcement on any of their accounts, including the official accounts of the Republican Party.
If the announcement was genuine, it would have sparked a widespread debate and criticism, but a search on Google for the claim yielded no credible reports of a backlash.
Moreover, the account that posted the claim describes itself in the bio as ‘satire.’
JD Vance urges Republicans to nationalize midterm elections
Vance has come up with a strategy for Republicans contesting battleground seats, advising them to “nationalize” their midterm elections this fall.
“We have two things that we’ve got to do to win these midterm elections,” Vance said on September 10.
“Number one, we have to remind the American people of all the good things that we’re doing,” he said, “and number two, we have to remind the American people of how effing crazy the Democrats have become over the past couple of years.”
