Kelce had previously informed McAfee, an ex-Colts punter, that he wouldn't be accompanying Taylor on the red carpet at the Grammy's in LA this Sunday, as cited by Daily Mail.
When questioned about whether he and Taylor were acquainted prior to her first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium four months ago, Kelce, who wears jersey No. 87 for the Chiefs, affirmed that they indeed were.

Kelce shared on Wednesday, January 31, "We had known each other for close to a month up to that point."
Three days prior to Swift's attendance at the Chiefs-Bears game, Kelce had mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he "threw the ball in her court" and had invited her to watch him play.
He later disclosed on Wednesday that he was already aware she would attend when he made that statement on the show.
Kelce emphasized that it wasn't a spontaneous invitation, stating, "It wasn't just an out-of-the-blue, 'Hey, come to the game.'"
Since her initial appearance, the 34-year-old Swift has been present at 12 of Kelce's games.
