Fashion expert reveals why Karoline Leavitt’s outfits showcasing ‘The Stepford Wife’ image suit her job

WASHINGTON, DC: At just 27 years old, Karoline Leavitt, the youngest White House Press Secretary, has sparked a debate over her wardrobe choices - some applauding her style and others criticizing it as too mature for her age.
While some have labeled her outfits "Stepford Wife"-like and overly polished, others consider her one of Washington's best-dressed women.
Amid the divided opinions, a fashion expert has weighed in, suggesting that Leavitt’s polished, classic style is actually perfect for her high-profile role and explains why it works for her position.

Fashion expert's comments on Karoline Leavitt’s classic style
Leading fashion stylist Oriona Robb has described Karoline Leavitt, the youngest-ever White House Press Secretary, as having a conservative approach to fashion, as per Mirror.
Robb explained, "Karoline Leavitt is conservative in her dressing and often chooses classic styles from blazers to co-ords and two pieces and typically chooses a simple colour palette with monochrome, navy, blue, red and white."

The stylist also noted, "She’s been known to favour labels such as Self Portrait for its boucle jackets and skirts as well as European brands such as Lichi, Gucci and Louis Vuitton."
Robb added, "Her style is very put together and considered, which can at times feel odd given her age as she’s only 27. Yet as she’s been put into the spotlight in her role for The White House, it’s no wonder that she’s favoured classic and timeless shapes that work well given her high profile position."

Karoline Leavitt's outfit's criticism addressed by fashion expert
After praising Karoline Leavitt’s classic style, Oriona Robb addressed the criticism labeling Leavitt as a “trad wife.”

Robb explained, "There has been criticism that she can look almost too polished and veers towards the ‘Stepford Wife’ image, with the perfect woman appearance and not a hair out of place."
She continued, "It’s important to be clear that we’d find it odd to see a 27-year-old at The White House in jeans and trainers, so her wardrobe is right for the job she has and keeps her looking polished and put together."

Robb emphasized, "Ultimately if this is what makes her feel the best in her role and to be her best self in a career that is constantly in the media, she should be able to choose what she wants to wear and to have a wardrobe that makes her feel empowered and confident."
While Leavitt faces online criticism for her outfits, she has also been criticized for spreading misinformation during her tenure as the president’s spokesperson and for the significant age gap between her and her husband, who she credits with helping her succeed in her political career.
