The incident unfolded during the star-studded event, hosted by Kelly Clarkson and broadcast on NBC, which featured a performance by the Backstreet Boys.
Following the drama, he addressed it in a now-deleted tweet on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, December 4. But his fans didn’t hold back and were quick to share the screenshot of the post before the legend deleted it and circulated it online.

The 65-year-old rapper Flavor Flav was eagerly anticipating a fun night at the 2024 Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony, looking forward to watching The Backstreet Boys and other performances.

In a now-deleted tweet on X, Flav shared his confusion, writing, “ I feel weird,,,I was invited to the rockefeller Tree Lighting tonite and I was escorted to see my boys,,, THE BACKSTREET BOYS,,, and we were backstage in their dressing room,,,security came up tp me and says @nbc does not want me in this area and I need to leave.”
He continued, “At the same time,,, their social media woman came up and asked me to capture social content.”
