MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Jake Lang, a Florida Senate candidate, was reportedly attacked during a protest in Minneapolis on Friday, January 17. According to reports, he was dragged into a crowd and stabbed during the incident.

Lang had organized the rally, which he named the “March Against Minnesota Fraud.” Videos circulating on social media appear to show him being pulled across the ground by a group of people. Lang also shared and reposted several of the videos on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Jake Lang injured amid violent Minnesota protest

The confrontation occurred amid heightened tensions following the killing of Renee Nicole Good, who was shot by a federal agent identified as Jonathan Ross. Jake Lang had organized a march in the city when a counter-protest by the People’s Action Coalition Against Trump formed nearby, leading to confrontations between the two groups.

Videos shared online appear to show Lang lying on the ground with blood visible on his head as several people dragged him through the crowd. Other footage posted on X shows him being kicked and pulled while attempting to leave the area.

Photographs from the scene show blood on the back of the 29-year-old’s head. In a post on X, Lang wrote, "I just got stabbed by a crazie white commie leftist rioter today in Minnesota. All for pointing out their replacement by 70 IG burka wearing (pirate) Somalians. Plate carrier blocked it… Jesus is King, DEUS VULT."

During the confrontation, Lang was heard shouting inflammatory slogans, including anti-immigrant and white nationalist rhetoric. As tensions escalated, anti-ICE protesters surrounded Lang and those with him, pushing them back toward a small area near the City Hall building.

Counter-protesters were also seen throwing water balloons at Lang and snowballs at other pro-ICE demonstrators, even as temperatures fell close to zero degrees Fahrenheit. At one point in the videos, Lang could be heard repeatedly saying, “Please stop,” as a protester appeared to grab his legs.

'March Against Minnesota Fraud' cited claims of welfare and day care fraud

According to the Star Tribune, the rally took place as a march through downtown Minneapolis, beginning at Minneapolis City Hall at 1 pm on January 17 before moving through nearby streets.

Organizers said the demonstration aimed to highlight what they alleged was “$8 billion fraud” within Minnesota’s social services system, focusing on the claimed misuse of funds tied to day care providers and welfare programs.

For those unfamiliar, Jake Lang, a right-wing online activist, was among more than 1,500 individuals who received pardons from Donald Trump for criminal convictions related to the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol.
