Fox News' Dana Perino claims US Supreme Court will 'act quickly and decisively' after Donald Trump's removal from Colorado ballot

Dana Perino also stated that Joe Biden should want the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to be overturned and should try beating Donald Trump on merit

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Dana Perino joined Brian Kilmeade on the December 20 episode of 'Fox and Friends' to discuss the ruling of the Colorado Supreme Court that barred former President Donald Trump from being on the state's ballot.

Throwing shade on the incumbent President, Perino stated that Joe Biden should want the decision overturned, "because if he actually thinks he can beat Donald Trump, he should try to beat him on the merits, not like this."

How does Dana Perino feel the case will proceed in the US Supreme Court?

Talking briefly about the case history, Perino stated her belief that the US Supreme Court would "act… quickly and act decisively, and I do not think it would be a very close split decision along ideological lines."

Kilmeade brought up the topic of 13 other states bringing similar lawsuits against Trump and wanted to know Perino's take on the subject, asking her, “Do you think that'll wipe out the other 13 challenges?”

The latter replied that though she was unsure about the outcomes, she felt that "it would set a chill through the rest of those court cases across the country."

"This is a novel legal theory," she stated, "It is not a good time in the country to test a novel legal theory, and I do believe that the voters should want to decide."

Chances of President Joe Biden commenting on the judgment

"We are gonna hear the president at some point today comment on this huge thing," mentioned Kilmeade during the discussion, but Perino was not sure of this and voiced her doubts.

"Who knows? I think he might duck it," she said, "He doesn't do much commentary, he might say 'I'll just let this play out.'"

"I think he should make a statement, but given his recent track record, I don't think he will," she added.

Republicans have been brought closer together by ruling against Trump

The opponents of Trump in the presidential primary have come out in support of the former President after the December 19 ruling, including Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Chris Christie.

"If the Democrats think this is the way for them to actually beat Donald Trump, (this) reaction shows that this makes Republicans coalesce closer together," claimed Perino.

She explained that one can be a Republican and believe the Capitol riot of January 6, 2021, to be "a stain in our history," but at the same time, she felt that this disqualification is "a novel legal theory being tested by an ideologically driven court from the left from Colorado."
