NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Nikki Haley's bid for the Republican standard-bearer position faces challenges as she has opted to maintain a low profile, notably avoiding confrontations with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

This strategic move has resulted in the cancellation of two scheduled debates in New Hampshire, sponsored by ABC News and CNN, respectively.

GOP insiders express concern that Haley's reluctance to engage in head-to-head discussions may hinder her already long-shot attempt to surpass former President Donald Trump in the upcoming primary on Tuesday.

The absence of a strong and visible presence could potentially impact her standing among Republican voters seeking a decisive leader for their party.

Following this news, Fox News host Laura Ingraham took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to call Haley to “drop out of the race immediately.”

Several people on the internet agreed with Ingraham and joined her to take down Haley.

Laura Ingraham asks Nikki Haley to ‘drop out of race immediately’

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X and wrote, “Haley needs to drop out immediately.”

Ingraham’s tweet presented an article from NBC News titled, “New Hampshire Republicans 'disappointed' Nikki Haley isn't fighting harder in the state.”

In the article, it was stated that after earning the third spot in the Iowa caucuses, Nikki Haley has maintained a limited schedule in the upcoming New Hampshire primary.

While people within the state’s GOP argue that she should be more active, this could eventually doom her long-shot bit to beat Donald Trump on Tuesday.

Moreover, she also refused to go head-on with another GOP candidate, Ron DeSantis.

In a contest narrowed down to three candidates, Haley's team is taking a calculated risk, banking on the notion that a more reserved approach may prove advantageous.

Notably, DeSantis has already opted to suspend his campaign and shift focus to South Carolina, acknowledging its diminishing momentum.

A veteran New-Hampshire-based Republican strategist said, “As an incumbent, maybe, or somebody who’s a front-runner — sure, you’re ahead, you’re not taking any risks. But when you’re in second place? You need to throw f*****g Hail Marys. You have five nights left.”

According to interviews with over half a dozen Republican officials and party strategists well-versed in New Hampshire presidential primaries, NBC News discovered a unanimous sentiment that Haley would not gain any advantage by maintaining a distance from voters.

Despite this consensus, Haley faces the challenging reality that her already uphill battle has become even more formidable after the recent withdrawal of businessman Vivek Ramaswamy from the race on Monday, coupled with his endorsement of Trump.

A Republican National Committee member, Julianna Bergeron stated about Haley choosing not to debate, “Everybody in New Hampshire is disappointed.”

She continued, “I can’t be positive, but, yeah, I do think it matters.”

Nonetheless, Haley’s spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas defied the idea that she is avoiding New Hampshire voters saying, “This is complete and total nonsense.”

She continued, “She landed at 4 a.m. the morning after Iowa and had a full day of local press, retail stops, meetings with voters, and a rally in the North Country. After a brief stop back [in South Carolina] this morning to see her family, she’s back in New Hampshire today with two stops this evening and a flat-out schedule until Election Day.”

Internet agrees with Laura Ingraham

Many X users agreed with Laura Ingraham and joined her in ripping Nikki Haley.

One person wrote, “Never Nikki in denial,” and another said, “She’s so bought that I’m sure it’s hard for her to bail out.  Plenty of pissed money if she does.”

An X user agreed with Ingraham, “I agree 100 percent,” and another added, “Absofreakinglutely.”

One more person ripped Haley, “She’s all about herself. Don’t want her for VP either!” and another said, “She's too into herself. She won't drop out.”
