NEW YORK CIYT, NEW YORK: In February, President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit East Palestine, Ohio, one-year after the disastrous train derailment in the town, as confirmed by a White House official to Fox News Digital.

The president faced criticism during the incident for not visiting the community in the subsequent weeks and months.

According to the official, during the visit, Biden will address his administration's "comprehensive, whole-of-government response" to enhance railroad safety.

Following this, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter to report on former President Donald Trump blasting Biden for his visit.

Apparently, many people on the internet also joined Trump and took a brutal jab at the POTUS.

Sean Hannity reports on Donald Trump bashing Joe Biden over visit to East Palestine

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “'I WAS THERE WHEN IT COUNTED': Trump Blasts Biden for Visiting East Palestine 'as the World is Blowing Up'.”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that after a year of the tragic train derailment, Biden will finally visit East Palestine, Ohio.

Reportedly, Biden faced significant criticism in the aftermath of the tragedy for his absence, with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also facing delays in responding to the incident.

Former President Donald Trump, who visited East Palestine shortly after the disaster, criticized Biden on TRUTH Social, indicating that the present moment might not be the most opportune time for a visit.

He wrote, “With the World blowing up around us, with the Middle East on FIRE, Biden has finally decided to visit East Palestine, Ohio, a year late, and only to develop some political credibility because EVERYTHING else he has done has been such a DISASTER. I know those great people, I was there when it counted, and his reception won’t be a warm one. Worst President in History!”

Earlier this month, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about Biden's plans to visit East Palestine, Ohio.

She informed reporters, "The president will visit when it's most helpful to the community."

Upon reaching out to East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway for his opinion on the most opportune time, Fox News reported that he suggested, "In my personal opinion, the best time for him to come would be February of 2025 when he is on his book tour."

Conaway also said, “The president is always welcome to our town. That being said, I don’t know what he would do here now."

Internet 'digusted' with Joe Biden

Many X users slammed Joe Biden over his delay in visiting East Palestine.

One person wrote, “And did what for these people with all his billions of dollars after signing the bill that deregulated the rail system that contributed to this wreck?” and another said, “Good God!! He did NOTHING!!! He showed up for a photo op, shook a few hands, handed out expired water and left!!!!”

An X user brutally mocked Biden, “The only reason Biden is visiting East Palestine is because his popularity has tanked, and it is an election year.  He'll probably get confused and tell the citizens of East Palestine that he's for a two-state solution.”

Another said, “Has Joe started his weekend yet? It is Wednesday. Yesterday may have been too much for him. Waste of air.”

One more person agreed with Trump adding, “President Trump is right. Mr. Biden wants to go now because he was too busy this past year. Baloney! He has spent 40% of his time "off duty"! I am absolutely disgusted with this man and his handlers,” and another said, “Biden is a year late.  Biden didn’t care about E. Palestine in 2023, Ohio doesn’t care about Biden in 2024.  He needs to stay in his basement in Delaware.”
