WASHINGTON, DC: After Hunter Biden’s absence at the GOP-led deposition, the House Republicans formalized an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, and made an appearance on Fox News to answer questions about the same.

Following that appearance, Ian Sams, who is a White House spokesman for oversight and investigations took to social media and slammed the House Republicans for using the impeachment inquiry as a “political stunt to go to places like Hannity.”

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity addressed the statement made by Sams on social media the following day and claimed that the House Republicans “struck a nerve.”

Ian Sams shares remarks on Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Ian Sams tweeted a clip from Fox News that was originally shared with the caption, “Not ideal when you can’t directly answer a softball question from Hannity on what crime are you investigating.”

Sams wrote, “They can’t answer because there isn’t an answer. It’s an impeachment about nothing.”

He added, “They aren’t pursuing anything real, they are just using it as a political stunt to go to places like Hannity to relentlessly attack a good, honorable man with lies.”

In the clip, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity spoke to Rep. James Comer, Rep. Jim Jordan, and Rep. Jason Smith and asked them, “Is this now an investigation about Joe Biden involved in what would be a bribery scandal, a money laundering scandal, and an influence-peddling scandal?”

Smith responded, “This has always, Sean, been an investigation in regards to Joe Biden,” and as Smith continued, Hannity interrupted him.

Hannity asked again, “Is it about those three issues though? That’s what I’m asking.”

The Rep. responded, “It could be a multitude of numerous items and we’re just continuing to follow the facts.”

On Fox News, Sean Hannity reported on how “Biden’s White House is in panic mode” and after his opening remarks, he addressed Sams’ statement on X.

Hannity said, “Apparently, House Republicans struck a nerve, including right here on this program last night. Got this Biden snake-like spokesperson, Ian Sams is his name. I don't know.”

He continued, “Apparently, he works in the White House Counsel's Office, apparently, he's a spokesperson of some kind. But also very busy last night reacting to this show.”

Hannity then read Sams’ tweet on X about the House Republicans and their appearance on Fox News.

Hannity then addressed Sams’ tweet, “Okay, Mr. Sams. You mean the good honorable man, the one that wouldn't acknowledge his own granddaughter for years. His son wouldn't acknowledge his own daughter for a long period of time.”

“You might want to explain to us, Mr. Sams, exactly what services that zero experience Hunter rendered to be paid millions and millions of dollars from a Ukrainian and a Chinese energy company, both companies, when he admitted, himself, in his own words, that he had no experience in energy at all at the time that he was also struggling with very serious addiction issues,” said Hannity.

As Hannity continued to talk about Joe Biden and Hunter Biden while questioning Sams, he also added, “We invited you on the program tonight. We got no response. So Mr. Sams, let me extend an invitation again, very publicly. You can come on my radio show and 735 of the greatest radio stations in the country I'll give you the full three hours to be my guest.”

“And as a bonus, you can come on this TV show and I will give you a full hour instead of you just hiding behind your desk at the Biden White House sending out your little tweets on X,” mocked Hannity as he extended an invitation to Sams.
