Eric Trump shares exclusive photos of 'first landing' at Florida's newly named Donald J Trump International Airport

The images, posted across Eric's social media accounts, captured the arrival of the Trump family's Boeing 757, popularly known as 'Trump Force One,' moments after it touched down at the airport formerly known as Palm Beach International Airport. Eric said the flight was intentionally timed to become the first official landing following the airport's name change. Ahead of the flight, Eric Trump announced the symbolic journey in a post on X, writing, 'I am deeply honored that at 5.01 am, Trump Force One will be the first plane to land at the newly renamed Palm Beach International Airport—now and forever President Donald J Trump International Airport (DJT).'

Following the landing, Eric shared photos from inside the aircraft and on the tarmac, showing the newly installed airport signage, the aircraft arriving in the early morning light, and members of the Trump family celebrating the occasion. In another post, Eric Trump reflected on the significance of the moment, writing, 'As a son, and someone who flies out of this airport nearly every day, I will forever be proud to see the initials 'DJT' on my boarding pass. Congratulations Dad—I'm happy to have played a big role in making this happen.'

The renaming became official after months of legislative action in Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis signed the measure into law earlier this year, and airport officials have begun updating signage, branding, and operational systems to reflect the new name. President Trump celebrated the renaming as 'a very big day in Palm Beach,' declaring, 'The area is HOT, the location is GREAT, and the renovation will be SPECTACULAR. This will soon be one of the greatest and most spectacular airports anywhere in the world!'

Supporters have hailed the change as a fitting tribute to President Donald Trump's longstanding ties to Palm Beach, home to his Mar-a-Lago estate, while opponents have questioned the decision and the estimated $5.5 million cost associated with replacing signage, updating systems, and implementing the new branding.
