Inside VIP stands at Freedom 250 Grand Prix: Trump and Melania mingle with family and guests

The Grand Prix became something of a Trump family affair, with Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump both joining their father for the festivities. Eric's photo from the event showed the president standing between his two eldest sons, all three smiling for the camera with the Washington Monument rising behind them.

Don Jr and Anderson offered their own glimpse inside the VIP experience, smiling together for a selfie from the stands. Anderson paired a black blazer with a white top and white shorts, accessorizing with oversized sunglasses and a chunky silver-toned necklace. Don J, meanwhile, stuck with the tan suit he wore earlier with his dad.

Eric and Lara brought their children along for the race, turning the high-profile sporting event into a family day out. Eric shared a photo from the circuit, standing beside Lara and their two children, with the US Capitol providing a striking backdrop.

The day also had a personal connection for Melania. Her father, Viktor Knavs, was among those spotted at the venue, adding another member of the extended family to the VIP crowd. His presence was particularly fitting given what Melania revealed during the weekend. The first lady shared that her father introduced her to her love of cars while she was growing up in Slovenia, describing an early fascination with automobiles and racing that stayed with her. Photos showed Penske speaking with Trump, Melania, and her dad inside the viewing area. Penske played a major role in bringing the event to Washington, with his company helping finance the infrastructure for the race.

UFC chief Dana White was another familiar face inside the presidential viewing area. He was seen standing near Trump and Melania as the president raised his fist toward the crowd. White's appearance continued his highly visible presence at Trump's major sporting events.

Trump and Melania also appeared in a particularly relaxed photograph shared by Dr Mehmet Oz. The image showed Oz taking a group selfie alongside his wife, Lisa, with Trump and Melania squeezed into the frame between them. All four smiled at the camera, offering a candid look at the atmosphere inside the stands.
