Joe Biden resurfaces amid cancer battle alongside Hunter in daughter Ashley’s intimate summer photos

The 83-year-old former president's public appearances have become less frequent as he undergoes treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. Biden revealed his diagnosis in May 2025, months after leaving the White House. One photo shows Biden relaxing on a couch while Ashley smiles for a selfie in the foreground. The cheerful summer scenes were punctuated by a much more reflective photograph from the Biden family gravesite. Ashley's image shows the tombstone of her late brother Beau Biden, bearing the Biden name, with stones and other small keepsakes placed along the top and flowers nearby. Beau died from brain cancer in 2015 at age 46, a loss that has remained central to the Biden family's story and to Joe Biden's own work on cancer research.

Hunter Biden also makes an appearance in his sister's summer album. Hunter's inclusion is particularly notable given that he recently offered a candid update on his father's health. Speaking to the BBC in August, he revealed that Biden's cancer had progressed beyond the bone metastasis initially disclosed by his office. “The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,” Hunter said, describing his father's condition as “very painful” and “very debilitating.”
