Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau make first-ever red carpet appearance as a couple at Tribeca Film Festival

Nearly a year into their high-profile relationship, pop star Katy Perry, 41, and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, 54, took their romance to the red carpet, debuting as a couple at the Tribeca Film Festival. Trudeau supported Perry at the premiere of her concert film, ‘Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour - Live from Paris.’

After arriving at the venue hand-in-hand, the couple packed on the PDA as they posed in front of cameras. The pair made sure the world witnessed their blossoming romance as they exchanged warm smiles and leaned into each other, nearly close to sharing a kiss. The red carpet appearance comes a year after the duo first sparked romance rumors in July 2025.

The ‘Roar’ hitmaker and former PM exuded effortless chic as they hit the red carpet together and walked hand-in-hand. Perry opted for an elegant white Lanvin halter-neck gown featuring rose appliques on the bodice and a sleek pleated skirt. Meanwhile, Trudeau kept it classic in a black suit, matching trousers and a white undershirt.

When asked how proud he was of Perry’s work and whether he had already seen the concert film, Trudeau told Entertainment Tonight, “I saw the show three times, but I wasn’t really paying attention to anything but Katy. So I’m looking forward to seeing the show for the first time.”

At one point, Trudeau stood back to let his partner soak in the spotlight at the premiere, smiling as Perry paused to take selfies with fans along the red carpet. The ‘Dark Horse’ singer also acknowledged her supporters, telling People Magazine, “I’m doing all of this for my fans because they are the ones that have helped me along for all these years, over 18 years, and it's just such a fun thing to encapsulate.”
