'This is the biggest lesson of my life, the biggest learning moment. I can't tell what exactly the lesson is, but we're learning from that. I'm learning more than any other time in my life before,' Wembanyama said after the Game 5 loss. Led by Finals MVP Jalen Brunson and first-year head coach Mike Brown, the Knicks completed a memorable postseason run that reignited excitement across New York and culminated in one of the biggest moments in franchise history. 'The ups are OK. The downs is the reason we lost,' said Wembanyama.

Some carried vintage memorabilia from the team's 1970 and 1973 title-winning seasons, while younger fans experienced the franchise's first championship in their lifetime. A joyful fan told a local reporter, 'For weeks, the Knicks have turned all of NYC into a dreamland. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, no one wanted to go to bed, much less wake up.'
