Lexi Minetree brings back OG Elle Woods Reese Witherspoon’s iconic 2014 Met Gala gown for ‘Elle’ London premiere

Lexi Minetree looked beautiful as she recreated another of Reese Witherspoon's iconic looks for the London premiere of her show, 'Elle,' in which she will be seen as the teenager Elle Woods. For the June 30 event, Lexi chose an archival Stella McCartney gown, which was previously worn by the 50-year-old actress, who played Elle Woods in 'Legally Blonde,' for the 2014 Met Gala.

Reese Witherspoon was a vision when she walked the Met Gala red carpet in the vibrant pink Stella McCartney strapless gown in 2014, celebrating the 'Charles James: Beyond Fashion' exhibition. The piece, featuring a sleek, form-fitting silhouette and a beautifully cut-out bustier, helped her embody the ideal 'pink princess' energy. Decades later, Lexi Minetree revived the look, paying homage to Reese's iconic role both on and off the screen.

Though Lexi Minetree wore Witherspoon's dress, she kept her makeup and hair quite different from her predecessor. Her messy bun with a bevy of curls and wisps added perfect glam to her overall look. The young actress also did not go for bright pink lips and chose a glossy one while sporting smoky eye makeup and pink blush.

Back in 2014, Reese Witherspoon did not accessorize much to keep all the focus on her beautiful gown. The blonde beauty just added a simple bangle and a pair of sparkly diamond earrings while keeping her makeup less dramatic, consisting of cat eyes and matching pink lips.

Molly Dickson styled Lexi Minetree for the June 30 premiere. She reportedly called the job "a true full-circle moment" because she was the one who assisted stylist Leslie Framer, who curated Witherspoon’s 2014 look.

Minetree had also earlier revealed why she's recreating Witherspoon's looks. "When I came to [Dickson], I was like, 'Elle Woods is a fashion icon, and I want to pay homage to that. Obviously, I want to pay tribute to '90s fashion and couture, but I would also love to tip with a hat to Elle's movies, too,'" she added.
