First Lady’s Luncheon: Melania Trump stuns in tailored ivory suit

Melania Trump addressed guests at the annual First Lady’s Luncheon, highlighting initiatives focused on child welfare and foster care. She was wearing an ivory double-breasted Christian Dior Montaigne Bar Jacket with a thin black belt, and a black skirt by Dolce & Gabbana.

Melania Trump, in her speech, emphasized her 'Fostering the Future' initiative, aimed at supporting youth transitioning out of foster care. The First Lady highlighted a series of consequential achievements, most notably leading four reunifications of Ukrainian and Russian children with their families. "The world doesn’t move for those who stop," she told the crowd.

Second Lady Usha Vance introduced Melania at the event. "In all of her work, she is dedicated to this nation's people and principles, and driven by her deep sense of purpose," Usha said of the first lady. Usha offered a softer contrast to Melania in a sleeveless, high-neck black dress with vibrant floral prints. The silhouette subtly highlighted her pregnancy, while her warm, relaxed demeanor stood out as she addressed attendees.

A ceremonial moment saw the unveiling of a painting during the luncheon, adding a cultural and symbolic layer to the event. After their remarks, the two women received gifts from the Congressional Club Museum & Foundation, which has hosted the annual event since 1912. Usha Vance received a blue-and-white baby blanket and Melania received a painting depicting landmarks across Washington, including the Capitol Building, the White House and the Lincoln Memorial.

The luncheon was themed around America’s 250th anniversary and the state of Georgia, home to this year’s chair, Robin Allen, the wife of Republican Rep Rick Allen. The ballroom featured rows of ornately decorated tables with floral centerpieces and linens stitched with pink and white magnolia motifs, a nod to the state’s native flower.

Attendees also received themed gift bags with patriotic elements, including an American flag-emblazoned plate, a gold bracelet shaped like a bald eagle and a stars-and-stripes Diet Coke bottle.
