President Donald Trump pledged American support soon after the earthquakes, saying the United States was 'ready, willing and able to help' the Venezuelan people. The deployment reflected that commitment, with the State Department leading the humanitarian response and the Department of Defense providing transportation and logistical support.

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez confirmed she had spoken with President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding the humanitarian response, thanking the United States for its assistance as rescue efforts intensified. Specialized search-and-rescue personnel from multiple US agencies, including Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Florida Task Force 1 and the Los Angeles County Fire Department, joined the international relief effort, bringing years of disaster-response experience to the devastated country. These elite teams are trained to locate survivors buried beneath collapsed structures using advanced search equipment, rescue dogs, and technical recovery tools. Their arrival added critical manpower as emergency crews worked around the clock in dangerous conditions, hoping to find survivors before time ran out.

Based on the latest reports, the twin 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes caused widespread destruction across northern Venezuela, particularly in the capital and coastal regions. Caracas experienced extensive structural damage, particularly in residential neighborhoods. Significant destruction was also reported in Carabobo, Yaracuy, Miranda, and surrounding states. Hundreds of buildings either collapsed or sustained severe structural damage. At least eight hospitals were damaged, complicating emergency medical care. The Venezuelan Red Cross headquarters and the French embassy were among the damaged buildings.

Rescuers carefully navigated mountains of shattered concrete and twisted steel as they searched for survivors inside one of the many buildings destroyed by the earthquakes.
