George and Amal Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba join King Charles for King’s Trust 50th Anniversary

Actor-filmmaker George Clooney arrived at the event with his wife, lawyer Amal Clooney. The ‘Ocean’s 8’ star opted for a blueish black suit and matching trousers while his wife looked stunning in a golden sequined gown. The pair greeted and interacted with King Charles at the red carpet before heading indoors.

Cumberbatch, who has long maintained a close relationship with King Charles and the royal family, appeared to be in high spirits while interacting with the monarch. The Marvel actor was photographed shaking the King’s hands before breaking into a laugh during their conversation. Cumberbatch donned a formal look, wearing a dark brown suit and trousers with a white undershirt.

British singer and songwriter, Sir Rod Stewart, appeared to praise King Charles’ US state visit by taking a swipe at Trump during their interaction at The King’s Trust 50th anniversary celebration. Reports suggest that Stewart lauded the monarch by saying, “May I say, well done in the Americas. You were superb. Absolutely superb. You put that little ratbag in his place.”

Elba, who was named to receive a knighthood in King Charles III's 2026 New Year Honours list, reunited with the monarch at The King’s Trust 50th anniversary celebration. The ‘Zootopia’ actor was seen smiling and interacting with King Charles during the event. He has worked closely with the monarch in the past and even partnered with The King's Trust. For his outfit, Elba opted for a burgundy plum double-breasted suit and matching trousers.

‘Emily in Paris’ star Lily Collins turned heads as she arrived at the event with her husband, director Charlie McDowell. While Collins wore a shoulder-less, ankle-length, body-hugging gown embellished with rows of golden beading, McDowell opted for a classic black-and-white tuxedo. The actress kept her short hair parted in the middle and completed her look with Jimmy Choo sandals. Collins was later photographed exchanging smiles with King Charles.
