Gavin Newsom releases mock MRI report just after White House shares results of Trump’s scans
WASHINGTON, DC: California Governor Gavin Newsom, through his office on Monday, December 1, released a mock medical memo that was styled in a similar way to the White House MRI report for President Donald Trump. It is a reaction to the intensifying questions about the president's health.
Newsom's tweet was a fake "health certificate" letter from a make-believe doctor, humorously referring to the governor as "the healthiest human currently alive or recorded in medical history."
Fake memo describes Newsom's 'shimmering' arteries and 'exceptional' skeletal system
The fictitious memo, which credits Dr Dolittle, the governor's physician/chief of Peak Human Performance, said that detailed scans of Gavin Newsom revealed "nothing abnormal," and that he was "the healthiest human currently alive or recorded in medical history."

The report points out that his cardiovascular scans were "the best we've ever recorded," with his arteries being "shimmering," and his resting heart rate was so even that "the EKG machine asked if he was meditating or just naturally enlightened."
The note goes on to say that Newsom's skeletal system is "exceptional," with a radiologist joking that they "scanned a redwood," and stating that nothing but "an unusually active region" related to intelligence, multitasking, and early-morning productivity could be detected in his brain imaging.
Release of Trump’s MRI scans and health questions
The fake memo came just after the White House revealed that Donald Trump had MRI scans of his heart and abdomen in October as part of a preventive, executive physical exam.

The report said that the tests "were all normal," and that there was no indication of narrowing of the arteries, abnormalities of the organs, inflammation, or any other issues.

While speaking to reporters on board Air Force One on Sunday, as he flew back to Washington from Florida, Trump was asked about the results of the MRI test he received in October as part of his annual physical.
“If they want to release it, it’s okay with me to release it,” Trump said, claiming the results of the scan were “perfect.”
The president, however, said he had “no idea” what part of his body underwent the MRI scan, noting, "It was just an MRI…It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it, I got a perfect mark."
