LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood icon George Clooney finds himself in the midst of domestic discord after endorsing President Joe Biden for re-election.

According to insiders, his wife, renowned human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, is furious over his support, seeing it as backing Biden's pro-Israel stance amidst the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Amal demands George Clooney distance himself from Joe Biden

Sources reveal that Amal, 46, has demanded George, 63, distance himself from Biden, following the President's condemnation of the International Criminal Court's intent to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes.

Biden's stance, which he labeled the ICC's move as "outrageous," directly clashes with Amal's support for the ICC's actions, further fueling the tension at home.

Amal's ICC support clashes with George Clooney's Biden fundraiser

Amal, a vocal advocate for international justice, publicly praised the ICC's decision, stating, "I support the historic step that the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has taken to bring justice to victims of atrocities in Israel and Palestine." The friction escalated when George, after a call to the White House, still went ahead with a high-profile fundraiser for Biden on June 15, amassing $30 million for the campaign.

The star-studded event, boasting attendees like Barack Obama, Julia Roberts, and Jimmy Kimmel, was marred by Amal's notable absence. "It all blew up with Amal refusing to attend the fundraiser, leaving George to make an embarrassing appearance without her!" an insider claimed, per Radar.

"Amal put her foot down and raged Biden's support for Israel was enabling what amounts to genocide in Gaza," shared a source. "But George replied he'd made a commitment to Biden he wasn't about to abandon given the stakes of the election."

The ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza, sparked by Hamas's attack on October 7, 2023, has devastated the region, claiming around 37,000 lives. Biden's unwavering support for Israel amidst these events has placed him in a contentious position, both politically and personally for the Clooneys.

George Clooney and Amal are in ‘different worlds 90 percent of the day’

Previously it was reported George and Amal, who married in 2014, now live 'separately’ due to their busy work schedules. According to the source speaking to In Touch Weekly, George and Amal are described as "hardcore workaholics, so it's like they’re in their little bubble."

This observation comes as George is preparing to relocate to New York City for a year to star on Broadway—putting him 4,000 miles away from their family's Lake Como villa, where they typically spend most of their time together.

As their 10th wedding anniversary approaches in September, the couple is reportedly starting to feel the strain. "They are in two very different worlds 90 percent of the day. They’re leading separate lives," the source added.
