George Kittle says he'll be 'on the dance floor' at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Professional American football player George Kittle is gearing up for a high-profile celebration on and off the field, sharing that he is excited about attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's upcoming wedding. The San Francisco 49ers tight end opened up about the event while also reflecting on his recovery from a serious injury and Swift’s continued presence around his football circle.
The NFL star also spoke about the couple’s wedding plans and how he expects to be fully in the mix when celebrations begin. His comments come as he continues rehabilitation after a major setback earlier this year.
George Kittle says he expects to join wedding celebrations for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Speaking to People during 'Tight End University’s Tight Ends & Friends Concert Presented by Reese’s' on Tuesday, June 23, Kittle confirmed he is looking forward to being part of the wedding festivities and enjoying the moment with fellow guests.
“I will be on the dance floor,” he said when discussing the couple’s upcoming nuptials.
The 32-year-old tight end is currently recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered during the 49ers’ Wild Card playoff victory over the Eagles in January. He said his recovery is progressing step by step.
“I’m taking small steps in the right direction,” he said, adding, “We’re checking off all the boxes, and we’re trudging in the right direction.”
Kittle also addressed the wedding in a separate interview, noting that Swift and Kelce have asked guests not to bring gifts.
“They said absolutely no gifts,” Kittle said. He joked about still wanting to bring something, adding, “I was thinking, Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, so I might get him an old coin,” before laughing, “Sounds expensive, too.”
Reports suggest Swift and Kelce are preparing for a summer wedding following their August 2025 engagement, with pre-wedding celebrations already fueling speculation about timing.

Kittle also spoke about Swift’s involvement in 'Tight End University,' the annual three-day training camp he co-founded alongside Travis Kelce and sportscaster Greg Olsen. Swift attended the recent event and spent time interacting with players, families, and organizers.
He said her presence meant a lot given her busy schedule ahead of the wedding.
“She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding,” he said, adding, “So we’re just so thankful that they’re here.”
He added that Swift naturally blended into the environment.
“Honestly, she’s such a great time. That’s what’s just so much fun,” he said.
Kittle also recalled her casual interactions with attendees, including his family.
“She’s just hanging out, talking to my mom. Thanks mom. Shout out to Taylor for talking to my mom again,” he said, adding, “But she’s just so kind and it’s awesome to have her around.”
Last year’s 'Tight Ends & Friends' concert included Swift’s surprise performance of 'Shake It Off' at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl. A source told People that “The crowd lost their minds,” and she later thanked the band and hugged each member after the performance.
