NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News panelists became visibly agitated over a recent ranking that labeled Donald Trump as the worst US president ever and placed Joe Biden in the top 15.

The ranking stemmed from a survey conducted by 154 presidential scholars for the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey.

Fox News panel strongly condemns historians' ranking

Former Trump staffer Kayleigh McEnany initiated the segment on Monday's 'Outnumbered', criticizing the pollsters as "ivory tower elites who in no way represent the American people."

"A new ranking — and I’m going to add, in my view, highly questionable ranking — of presidents is turning heads after Biden came in higher than Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan," she exclaimed, "In his wildest dreams!"

She continued, "Abe Lincoln ranked first — Ok, fair. Then comes [Barack] Obama at 7th; and Biden came in 14th, actually beating Ronald Reagan, who came in 16th; and Trump, dead last…this is infuriating in so many ways!'"

Lisa Boothe, a Fox News contributor, observed, "This highlights how history can be shaped, and sometimes based on falsehoods. But, let's be clear, this list is baseless. It's widely acknowledged that Obama's ranking is not accurate. He was not a successful president."

McEnany chimed in, reflecting on her experiences at Harvard Law School, saying, "I noticed this disparity frequently at Harvard Law School, where we encountered scholars from various ideological backgrounds. Being there in 2016 and 2015, the sentiment differed significantly from the sentiments among the American people leading up to Trump's election."

Netizens not impressed with Fox Panel's take on presidential ranking

On a lighter note, Joe Concha quipped, "You might have seen me emerge from the greenroom cautiously. I was laughing so hard at these rankings that I ended up breaking two ribs!"

He continued in a long rant, “You’re telling me Ronald Reagan — who brought us peace and prosperity, inherited a mess out of Carter, and only, his administration brought down the friggin’ Soviet Union — that he ranks lower than Joe Biden, who’s given us high food prices, high gas prices, an open border, educational test scores at a 30-year low, the world seems like it is on fire because it is, and all the crime we’ve talked about in major cities — you rank him above Reagan? I mean, this is the best unintentional comedy out there and it hurts, literally.”

However, netizens didn't take the segment in a positive note, with one writing, "This is infuriating in so many ways" -- Kayleigh McEnany is big mad about Trump being ranked as the worst president in history."

Another added, "Worst Press Secretary defends worst President."

"Ivory-tower elite" is the typical dog whistle for people who hate others who are more successful. It also Intimates that education is not important," said another. A viewer noted, "Kayleigh McEnany continues to seek Trump's attention." One person wrote, "Kayleigh should get used to crying. Donald isn’t gonna win."
