Harry Styles recreates his 2010 ‘X Factor’ audition look and channels Elvis for ‘Harryween’ 2026
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Harry Styles sent fans into a frenzy as he kicked off ‘Harryween’ 2026 at Madison Square Garden on October 30 by dressing up as Elvis Presley before bringing back his iconic 2010 X-Factor audition outfit in an unexpected nostalgic callback.
The Halloween-themed concerts span two nights and mark the final two shows of Styles’ 30-show residency at the historic performance venue in New York. The One Direction alum last organized ‘Harryween’ nearly five years ago in 2021 during his ‘Love on Tour’ concert tour.
Harry Styles dresses up as Elvis Presley for ‘Harryween’ Night 1
For the first night of his 2026 ‘Harryween’ show, the Grammy Award winner paid homage to Presley by dressing up as the late music legend. Styles took the stage donning an outfit reminiscent of Presley’s signature style, featuring a flared white pantsuit, matching shirt with colorful embellishments and a blue satin cape.
He also paired the outfit with gold sunglasses, further alluding to Presley’s vintage era glam. Presley’s granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, was also present at the venue and cheered on Styles while enjoying the show alongside the pop star’s fiancée, Zoe Kravitz, and sister, Gemma Styles.
As the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ hitmaker channeled the ‘King of Rock and Roll’ and performed wearing a costume resembling the late musician, his band and background dancers dressed up as different versions of Styles throughout his career. Meanwhile, his fiancée also underwent a Halloween transformation, wearing a red devil costume and matching devil horns.
Harry Styles revives his 2010 ‘X Factor’ audition outfit
Elsewhere during the show, Styles left fans surprised and emotional while bringing back the outfit he wore during his 2010 ‘X Factor’ audition. At the time, a 16-year-old Styles showed up in front of judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, delivering a heartfelt and raw cover of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’
Styles was later grouped with Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and the late Liam Payne to form the five-member boy group, One Direction. While the group did not win ‘The X Factor’ and finished third place, they went on to become one of the biggest boybands in the world of all time.
Nearly 26 years later, Styles gave a heartfelt callback to the audition that changed his life and made him one of the biggest names in the global music industry. Not only did he wear an outfit similar to the one he wore during his audition, but the ‘Aperture’ singer also wore the ‘165998’ sticker, which was his official contestant and audition number tag at ‘The X Factor’ UK Season 7.
During the latest ‘Harryween’ concert, Styles also covered Stevie Wonder’s ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’, the same song he performed during his audition more than two decades ago. Additionally, he told the crowd, “I work in a bakery,” mimicking what his teenage self shared on camera while giving an introduction to the judges during the reality show.
Styles’ 2026 ‘Harryween’ performance comes nearly five years after he last hosted a Halloween-themed concert at the same venue. At the time, he dressed as Dorothy while his band members transformed into different characters from ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ For the second ‘Harryween’ night in 2021, Styles wore a clown costume and performed a cover of Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic.’
