Hayden Panettiere death investigation remains ongoing
A month after the tragedy, her representative said in a statement, as per PEOPLE, “As reported yesterday by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Hayden’s death remains under investigation pending the completion of toxicology results, despite reports from some outlets stating otherwise.”
“Recent reports attributed to unnamed sources are unverified hearsay and have attributed to conflicting information that continues to circulate,” they stated, before adding, “While we are all eager to find closure and better understand the circumstances surrounding her passing, we must remain patient and allow the investigative process to unfold.”
“The answers we are all seeking will come,” the representative’s statement asserted.
The recent statement came after the Greenville County Coroner’s Office clarified that they’ve “not released anything at this time. We will send out an email release when ready.”
Panettiere died just a few days before her 37th birthday. At the time of her death, her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother Zach were reportedly with her.
Brian even showed police a “bag of medication” which the ‘Nashville’ star was taking before her death.
Brian Hickerson lawyer addresses Hayden Panettiere death
Days after Panettiere’s passing, a lawyer for Brian issued a statement, saying, “Hayden’s death remains under investigation, and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed.”
“As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play. Out of respect for Hayden’s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time,” the lawyer had added.
Zach, on August 21 said, "he and his brother tried to save Panettiere."
He stated, “When we went in and tried to wake Hayden up for lunch, we realized she was unconscious. I immediately called 911, and Brian gave her Narcan. We then jointly performed CPR while 911 was on speaker until Fire and EMS arrived. At that point, we watched as they tried every measure possible to save her life.”
Zach Hickerson denies rumors after arrest
In another recent statement, Zach has asserted his and his brother's innocence. He was arrested over the weekend following an altercation at a bar but after his release, he said, "This is the problem with y'all putting stuff on the Internet: People fill in their own holes and then they want to attack people for no reason."
"It's just super-frustrating all that we've been through and all the rumors that get started and then people believe them, and then they attack as a result of the rumors," he added.
