VALLEY FORGE, PENNSYLVANIA: Numerous users of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were amused at a video clip of President Joe Biden being led offstage by his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, following his remarks on the anniversary of the January 6, 2021, Capitol building riot.

The 81-year-old incumbent launched his re-election campaign in Pennsylvania on Friday, January 5, by slamming his predecessor Donald Trump and calling him a “loser".

Despite the hullabaloo regarding his electability amid dismal polling numbers, Biden's 30-minute speech was supported by a rapturous crowd in Valley Forge, near George Washington's 1777–1778 winter encampment, outside of Philadelphia.

What did the viral video entail?

Per the New York Post, the video clip shared by RNC Research's X account, showed the First Lady walking up to the stage immediately after the President's speech and taking his hand to lead him to the back of the stage, where they disappeared behind the American flags on display.

The account uploaded the video clip with the caption: “Jill, Ed.D., escorts Biden off the stage following his remarks.”

Many users found it amusing that the White House staff allowed Jill Biden to take over and lead the President away from the podium before he could make any awkward hesitations on-camera or walk in the wrong direction of the stage in confusion.

President Biden's physical and mental health have been questioned recently, raising concerns about his ability to perform his duties as Commander-in-Chief due to his age.

This has sparked a debate in an important election year as the country prepares to vote for its next President in November.

Internet mocks President Biden as wife Jill led him offstage

People on X ridiculed the 81-year-old sitting US President for having someone escort him off of the stage after his January 6 anniversary remarks in Pennsylvania on Friday.

One X user remarked: “Because he can’t find his way off any stage"

Another user wrote: "It's pathetic to see the Commander in Chief being led off the stage. But Jill is there specifically to make sure Biden finds his way off of the stage and doesn't get distracted trying to shake hands with invisible people."

"Otherwise he’d get lost!!!" another user said.

One user tweeted: "Dr Jill actually led Biden off the stage because he has no idea where to go or what he’s doing."

Another user remarked: "I don't know what to say,..... pathetic."

"His wife needs to drag him around to exit the stage. What a joke," another user said.
