Here’s why experts are worried about Joe Biden’s health decline and its impact on his presidency
WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden’s decision to not re-run for the Oval Office continues to receive reactions from people across the globe.
Connecticut-based psychologist Dr Holly Schiff has even said that Biden would not have “survived another term as president” if he joined the White House a second time, as reported by Radar Online.

Dr Holly Schiff shared, “If he did, I do not believe he’d be able to endure the rigors of the job. Dementia is progressive, and his brain structure and capabilities will continue to deteriorate over time.”
“I would say he has a year, maybe two if he’s lucky, before he is unfit,” she stated.
Another expert Dr Gabe Mirkin, a doctor of internal medicine from Florida, appreciated Biden’s decision to back out from the presidential race.
He said, “35 percent of Americans over the age of 85 suffer from dementia and there is no cure for this illness.”
Besides, Presidential historian Leon Wagner mentioned, “Things only appear to be getting worse as time goes on. Anyone who has been paying attention can see his decline as plain as day,” before adding, “It’s frightening, in fact, that he’s still sitting in the Oval Office.”
Joe Biden’s mishaps result in calls for him to back out from presidential race
Lately, Joe Biden has shown signs of his deteriorating mental state. One of the most recent ones was the presidential debate between him and Trump, where he went blank on several occasions.
Not only his critics but a few Democrats expressed that it would be good for the nation if he did not contest the November election.
Also, during a recent late-night press conference, the commander-in-chief appeared lost, forcing Kamala Harris to lead the event.

In a statement, addressing the US, 81-year-old Biden explained, “I revere this office, but I love my country more. It’s been the honor of my life to serve as your president. But in the defence of democracy, which is at stake, I think it is more important than any title.”
He continued, “I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation. That’s the best way to unite our nation.
“I know there is a time and a place for long years of experience in public life. But there is also a time and place for new voices, fresh voices — yes, younger voices. And that time and place is now.”
“I would like to thank our great vice president, Kamala Harris. She’s experienced. She’s tough. She’s capable. She has been an incredible partner to me and a leader for our country. Now the choice is up to you, the American people,” Biden concluded.
