CAMP SPRINGS, MARYLAND: President Joe Biden, at 81 years old, has once again sparked concerns about his health and cognitive abilities, as reported by Daily Mail.

During a recent late-night press conference following a historic prisoner swap between the United States and Russia, Biden appeared disengaged, staring blankly ahead while Vice President Kamala Harris took charge of the situation.

The president only moved once, seemingly to scratch his head, as Harris addressed the media.

The unsettling moment was widely noticed and commented on by viewers. Juanita Broaddrick, a vocal supporter of former president Donald Trump, shared a video on X, stating, "This dude is not there."

Another user, Nick Sortor, echoed the sentiment, saying, "Joe Biden is gone. Absolutely freaking gone. This is pathetic." These reactions reflect a growing concern among the public and political observers about Biden's fitness for office.

The incident occurred just a month after Biden had informed Democratic governors of his plan to stop holding events past 8 pm to prioritize getting more sleep.

This revelation came after Axios reported that Biden typically worked a short schedule from 10 am to 4 pm, often including an afternoon nap.

The New York Times also highlighted that Biden acknowledged the need to work fewer hours and avoid late-night events, raising questions about his stamina and ability to fulfill the demands of the presidency.

As concerns about Biden's cognitive state persist, Vice President Harris has stepped into a more prominent role within the administration.

During the press conference, Harris praised Biden's efforts in securing the release of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and ex-Marine Paul Whelan from Russian custody. However, her remarks were met with mixed reactions, with some describing her statements as a "word salad."

Harris stated, "I am very thankful to the president and what he has done his entire career, but in particular as it relates to these families and these individuals, what he's done to bring the allies together on many issues, but particularly this one."

She continued, emphasizing Biden's understanding of diplomacy's power and the importance of strengthening alliances. Despite occasional stumbles and stuttering, Harris concluded by calling it "an incredible day" as Biden looked on.

The vice president's increasing visibility and leadership come amid growing speculation about Biden's potential cognitive decline.

Medical experts, including Dr Ernst von Schwarz, a California-based cardiologist, have suggested that Biden's behavior could indicate a neurodegenerative condition such as dementia.

Dr Schwarz noted symptoms like a "dry mouth, fixed stare, very little hand movements and gestures," which could result from age-related cognitive decline or Parkinson's disease. However, he also mentioned that these symptoms might be exacerbated by medication or other medical interventions.
