NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Josh Shapiro has cautioned Vice President Kamala Harris against underestimating Donald Trump as they prepare for the highly anticipated presidential debate on September 10.

In his appearance on 'The View' on Friday, September 6, Josh Shapiro discussed the upcoming debate, acknowledging Donald Trump's strengths as a seasoned debater.

"He’s been on TV before, so don’t underestimate Donald Trump," the Pennsylvania governor noted.

When asked by Alyssa Farah Griffin, the former Trump White House communications director, if it was a mistake for Harris not to fully explain her changing policy positions since her last campaign, Shapiro defended the vice president, seeing her evolving stance as a “sign of strength.”

He explained that the ability to adapt and evolve is crucial for any leader.

While Josh Shapiro warned of Donald Trump’s debating skills, he also expressed confidence in Kamala Harris’ ability to excel during the face-off.

“I’ve known Kamala Harris for 20 years. She is tough as nails,” said Shapiro, who highlighted her background as a prosecutor, and affirmed that the Democratic presidential candidate would be well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

“She’ll be prepared, as was said before, she’ll be ready to go,” he said.

"Talk about sandbagging!" a netizen remarked, while someone commented, "This guy is NOT going to be helping Kamala in PA in 2024. He has his eyes on 2028."

"I have a feeling he's gonna screw her out of Pennsylvania as revenge. The guy's a known snake," a user opined, and another commented, "Hey Josh....shouldn't you be working on ensuring that the election isn't stolen in your state?"
