SAVANNAH, GEORGIA: At a campaign rally in Savannah, Vice President Kamala Harris made a blunder that quickly sparked online speculation about her sobriety.

The incident led to widespread ridicule on social media, with comparisons to President Joe Biden, fueling doubts about her capability.

The rally was part of Harris' bus tour across Georgia, leading up to a critical debate with former president Donald Trump. During her speech, Harris criticized Trump, saying, "He even called for the termination of the United States Supreme... the C... the Supreme law of our nation, the United States Constitution."

Claims of intoxication swirl around Kamala Harris after her Savannah rally

Users on X, formerly known as Twitter, speculated that Harris might have been intoxicated during her Savannah rally.

The video quickly went viral. A user made fun of Harris by writing, "Sorry I don't speak kamalean. What did she say?" Numerous others chimed in, with the dominant theme being the public's perception of Kamala Harris appearing inebriated.

One commenter mocked Joe Biden, Kamala's former running mate, saying, "Biden had an excuse in dementia. Kamala is just dumb."

Another user shared an old photograph of Kamala Harris, circling a liquor bottle in the background and adding a caption to the image, further fueling speculation, "My guess, she got into the Martini and Rossi again."

Even the far-right activist Laura Loomer shared the video, referring to Harris as "hammered." She wrote, "Wow she sounds HAMMERED. @KamalaHarris even has the sweats you often see alcoholics get where their skin looks greasy because the alcohol is seeping out of their pores. Is she an alcoholic????"

A political commentator said, "She’s drunk."

A meme shared by a user featured Kamala Harris with the caption "Drunk again. 🥴🥴🥴" and text overlayed on the image that read, "DNA Test Reveals Kamala Harris Actually 98% Vodka."

Another added, "This is how an alcoholic sounds! She’s a Commie and a drunk! Kammie- YOU’RE FIRED Get the hell outta here!"

Ahead of her upcoming debate with former president Donald Trump on September 10, Harris plans to use her interview with CNN's Dana Bash to demonstrate her political acumen and address criticism of avoiding unscripted settings.

However, there are inherent risks as her campaign seeks to leverage the momentum from the recent Democratic National Convention and the subsequent ticket reshuffle following Joe Biden's resignation.
