NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' host Alyssa Farah Griffin made an unexpected revelation about former president Donald Trump.

She shared that the former president had an idea to bring the country together with the help of rapper Kanye West during her appearance on the Tuesday, July 23, episode of Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live'.

As the former director of strategic communications in the Trump White House, Griffin was wary of insider information about the former president and his administration, which led her to share the details when asked by a caller about the "wildest" thing that she came across during that time.

Alyssa Farah Griffin appeared on the talk show alongside 'The Real Housewives of Dubai' star Lesa Milan. A caller named Chase from Austin, Texas, joined the show.

"My question is for for Alyssa... What was the wildest thing that you still cannot believe came across your desk when you were special assistant to Trump in the White House?" he asked.

Laughing out in response to the question, Griffin said, "Oh, this is gonna be dark."

"To be honest, one day he wanted to have Kanye West come in and do a church service on the White House lawn to unify the country. And I can think of few things less unifying than that, but we were like, 'Not the time or place, sir.'"

Griffin did not specify when the incident took place during her time at the White House, which according to TooFab, was from April to December 2020.

The rocky relationship between Donald Trump and Kanye West

During his presidency, Donald Trump had reportedly invited Kanye West to the White House back in October 2018. The visit made headlines for the wrong reasons, as the rapper called for the abolition of the 13th amendment because, among other things, 13 is an unlucky number.

While he had ranted about how MAGA made him feel like Superman, Kanye parted ways with Trump by 2020 as he launched his own presidential bid under the new Birthday Party banner. It was an ill-fated move that went nowhere.

The two reconciled after Trump left the White House, and were on good terms until the present GOP nominee arrived at a dinner with the rapper in November 2022. West was accompanied by Nick Fuentes, who is known to be a White nationalist, and about whom Trump claimed to have no idea.

As the meeting went viral over the controversial reason, Trump stated that West had "arrived with a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about," referring to Fuentes.
