WASHINGTON, DC: President Biden refuted claims that he had contacts with business associates of his brother James Biden, and son Hunter Biden on Friday, March 1. Hunter confirmed to Congress this week that his father had attended two dinners in Washington, DC, while serving as vice president, with various foreign clients.

Amid the Republican-led impeachment investigation into suspected wrongdoing, the 81-year-old president slammed House Speaker Mike Johnson's claim that Biden is 'lying' about such meetings.

As he left the White House grounds for Camp David on Wednesday after his son's testimony in the impeachment trial, Biden said to a reporter, "Tell him to read the record of every single witness. These guys have got to stop this stuff."

When asked if, as stated in his testimony, he had gone to lunches and dinners with his son's and brother's international business contacts, Biden angrily replied, "No."

Previously, on December 6, 2023, Biden asserted that “I did not” deal with his brother or son’s foreign partners, labeling the assertion as “lies” in response to an Associated Press survey indicating that 68 percent of Americans—including 40 percent of Democrats—thought he had engaged in unethical or illegal business dealings with his son.

The 54-year-old Hunter verified on Wednesday that his father did interact with associates from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine at two dinners in DC's Cafe Milano in 2014 and 2015.
