LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Laura Ingraham has stirred controversy with her recent comments on the ongoing legal proceedings against former President Donald Trump.

In a fiery critique on her show 'The Ingraham Angle,' Ingraham asserted that Trump is on trial not because of any legal wrongdoing but because Democrats fear his potential to win against President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

Ingraham says Democrats scared of Trump

"He's on trial because he beat Hillary Clinton in 2016 and now they're really worried that he could beat Biden too," Ingraham proclaimed, echoing sentiments shared by Trump supporters.

Laura Ingraham casts doubt on legal integrity of Trump's case

Moreover, Ingraham accused Bragg of spearheading a "political hit job" with the implicit approval of the Biden administration.

She insinuated a collusion between Bragg's office and high-ranking officials within the Department of Justice, casting doubt on the integrity of the legal process.

"It is all a sloppy mess to boot. Colangelo is trying to convince the jury that the case is about a criminal conspiracy and a cover-up. Trump, David Pecker, and Michael Cohen, former Trump attorney, formed a conspiracy, he argued, to influence the election," Ingraham critiqued.

Ingraham's critique extended beyond the specifics of the charges against Trump to encompass broader political dynamics. She highlighted perceived double standards in the treatment of political figures, questioning why figures such as Hillary Clinton and entities like Fusion GPS have not faced similar scrutiny despite allegations of election interference.

She asked, "I have a question. Why wasn't Hillary Clinton and Fusion GPS charged under that same theory? The setup, the surveillance of Trump, the salacious and unverified Steele Dossier. All of it. For goodness sakes, $1 million went from the Clinton campaign and the DNC to a law firm, Perkins Coie, that funneled it to Steele, who then dug up the dirt. That was real election interference my friends."

Responses to Ingraham's claims spark debate on Internet

Laura Ingraham's assertions regarding the motivations behind Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's pursuit of legal action against former President Donald Trump have sparked a wave of responses from the public.

One user wrote, "That's not why he's on trial."

One user commented, "Is she high? "

Another added, "You mean beat him for a second time."

One user replied, "Is Laura Ingraham watching the news about the #trump trail??? Did she hear what David Pecker had to say about #trump???? Or is she just playing being the …"

One said, "He cheated. He’s a loser."
