NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Millie Bobby Brown has spoken about her close friendship with Tom Cruise calling the Hollywood star her "dear friend" during a recent appearance on Josh Horowitz’s podcast 'Happy Sad Confused'.
The 'Stranger Things' actress also revealed that she once flew Cruise’s helicopter and said the experience was so uncomfortable that she would never fly any of his equipment again. Brown also revisited her earlier comparison of herself to the 'Top Gun' actor due to her commitment to performing her own stunts.

Brown told Horowitz on Wednesday, June 24, "He's a dear friend. He's a wonderful man and I'm very lucky to call him my friend."
"Tom does the craziest stuff. I think he's trying to get me to somehow fly a plane at some point," she stated, before claiming that she had "flown his helicopter before".
The 22-year-old actress, whose 'Enola Holmes 3' will hit theaters soon, further shared that she did not like the feeling of flying. "I was like, 'This is the last time I ever fly any of his equipment,'" she added.
Millie Bobby Brown says she wants young girls to do their own stunts
Brown, however, mentioned that she likes to do her own stunts in films.
"I really want young girls to think they can, you know? You'll always hear an older actor say, 'Don't do your own stunts,' and I get that," she said.
But the mother-of-one also noted that "back in the day, they might have been throwing you against a wall, and now, if you get a really great stunt coordinator and you learn how to land and you learn the whole technique of it, we as actors should know how to do certain things," before adding, "I try to do 90% and the 10% is probably, you know, in my contract that I'm not allowed, even though I beg."
Millie Bobby Brown previously compared herself to Tom Cruise over stunt work
Brown also discussed doing her own stunts in 2024 when she appeared on 'The Drew Barrymore Show'.
At the time, she said, "You're just like, 'Are we really gonna, like, am I really gonna do that stunt?' And then that day they're like, 'Yep, put the harness on,' and I just, like, did the stunt as if it wasn't, you know, Tom Cruise-level stuff. I felt like Tom Cruise."
"In this film, I feel like the female version of Tom Cruise. I did all my own stunts from start to finish. And I'm really scared about doing my own stunts. Stunts are scary. ... You're just like, 'I'm not physically trained to do this,'" Brown told Barrymore.
