WASHINGTON, DC: Former president Donald Trump expressed his gratitude to former First Lady Melania Trump for her support during his several court proceedings and wished her a happy Valentine's Day.

Trump offered a 'letter' with the subject 'I love you, Melania!' in a campaign email sent out early on Wednesday, February 14.

Donald Trump wrote in the message, "Dear Melania, I LOVE YOU. Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST, and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side. You've always supported me through everything. I wouldn't be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness, and warmth."

"You will always mean the world to me, Melania! From your husband with love, Donald J Trump," he concluded.

After that, readers were sent to a webpage where they could contribute to his reelection campaign or write their own Valentine's Day greeting.

Nikki Haley mocks Donald Trump on Valentine's Day

Nikki Haley, Trump's primary Republican opponent, sent the former president a Valentine's Day message.

"Roses are red, violets are blue, I love dictators, and they love me too! Happy Valentine's Day from Donald Trump to dictators around the world!", In a sarcastic email, Haley's presidential campaign wrote about the previous president.

The statement further read, "Over the years, Trump has professed his love for the world's most brutal dictators and praised their strength and leadership skills".

The campaign continued by listing several statements made by Trump to other foreign tyrants professing friendship or even love. The narrative Trump made in 2019 about getting around six letters from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was one of the instances the campaign used.

Internet trolls Donald Trump

The former president was trolled on social media for his Valentine's Day greetings to Melania Trump. A user on X wrote, "She’s literally never at his side" whereas one commented, "He's delusional. She doesn't even ride in the same car as him..."



 

A person also wrote, "Of course, he sees his wife as a money-making tool. Everything is transactional" whereas one mentioned, "Trump can send whatever “love” messages he wants. I don’t think Melania is going to wait around for him to get out of prison."
