SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA: During an interview on CNN's ‘Out Front’, Jesse Ventura, the former governor of Minnesota who was not elected on either the Democratic or Republican ticket, expressed his confidence in his ability to defeat both Donald Trump and President Joe Biden in a hypothetical presidential race.

Ventura, who has not held a public office since 2003, was asked whether he would vote for Independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr during the interview, according to DailyBeast.

“I don’t know yet,” Ventura told anchor Erin Burnett, before complimenting the anti-vax conspiracy theorist. “RFK and I have our differences. I met with him about the VP job. We met one evening for over two hours and discussed it, and I have all the admiration in the world for him. He has every right to run, and he’s probably going to get a lot of votes.”

What did Jesse Ventura say about 2024 presidential hopefuls?

Kennedy, who has successfully secured a position on the ballot in the key battleground state of Michigan for the upcoming November election, is not a candidate who intended to disrupt the election results, as reaffirmed by Ventura.

On the other hand, Ventura did not exhibit the same level of respect towards Donald Trump, who had previously considered a presidential candidacy under the Reform Party ticket while Ventura was the governor.

“Donald Trump of 2000 is not Donald Trump today—plain and simple,” the former professional wrestler claimed. “Back then, he was a Democrat and was pro-choice. Today he’s ultra-right, and anti-choice. You know, he ain’t the same guy… and the fact is Donald Trump, because he changes, he doesn’t ever tell the truth.”

Ventura clearly expressed his disinterest in being selected as Donald Trump's running mate.

Ventura, who endorsed the Green Party in the 2020 election and assessed the possibility of a presidential bid under that ticket before dismissing it, then imagined an incredibly implausible situation.

Ventura asserted, “If I had ballot access in all 50 states and I were allowed to debate, I could beat these two major party candidates.” This would be simpler than him winning the governorship in 1998, he claimed, because people detest Trump and Biden more than they detested his rivals in Minnesota.
