WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump sparked a fresh outcry as he demanded that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin should be "fired immediately” after going "missing for a week" while covertly in the intensive care unit, and the White House was kept in the dark about his condition.

The 77-year-old Gop front-runner expressed his fury in a harsh post on Truth Social on Sunday night, alleging that Austin had committed a "dereliction of duty" by not informing his superiors of his whereabouts.

“Failed Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin should be fired immediately for improper professional conduct and dereliction of duty,” Trump began.

“He has been missing for one week, and nobody, including his boss, Crooked Joe Biden, had a clue as to where he was or might be.”

“He has performed poorly, and should have been dismissed long ago, along with 'General' Mark Milley, for many reasons, but in particular the catastrophic surrender in Afghanistan, perhaps the most embarrassing moment in the history of our Country!” the real estate mogul continued.

Lloyd Austin’s mysterious ICU stint

Trump is the latest one to join the chorus of people calling on Austin to resign after he was admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center's intensive care unit on January 1.

New information on the Defense Secretary's covert hospital stay was made public by the Pentagon, last week. It described how, on December 22, Austin—who is ranked second in military command only to the Commander-in-Chief—went through medical treatment and returned home the following day.

He was admitted to intensive care on January 1 when he began experiencing severe pain. The latest information was released as congressional representatives from both parties voiced concerns regarding the confidentiality of Austin's hospital stay and the fact that the president and other top officials were kept in the dark for several days.

The statement, released by Air Force Major General Pat Ryder, did not, however, provide any details about the medical procedure or what actually happened on Monday to require Austin to be in intensive care at the Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washin

“Who the f**k cares what he’s “calling” for. He’s not the president,” one user blasted. “If anyone knows how to perform poorly, it's Donald Trump,” another user trolled.

“That is not *defendant* trump’s call to make,” one user mocked while another said, “Well, he’s not the President and has about as much authority to make those calls as a thumb tack soooooo.”

“What punishment is Trump calling for Melania after she went missing for an entire month?” a user asked. “When is somebody gonna tell Trump? He has no power here be gone. There’s somebody drops the house on him too,” one more said.
