NEWFIELDS, NEW HAMPSHIRE: New Hampshire Republican Governor Chris Sununu ridiculed former President Donald Trump during his CNN interview by calling him and his cabal of handpicked GOP candidates "losers."

Sununu, who endorsed former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for the GOP presidential nomination in 2023, accused the 77-year-old Republican frontrunner of failing to bring neither the party nor the country together, as evidenced by his string of electoral losses since 2020.

He also claimed in the same interview that the people close to the MAGA strongman stand by him because they’re fearful of him and can’t say no to him or, they’re there to secure a comfy gig under his administration.

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu says Donald Trump failed to bring together the GOP or the country

During the CNN interview, Sununu remarked, "With Donald Trump at the head of the party, we lose. We lost in 2020. We should have had the Red Wave in 2022, that he is a loser. He is. His candidates are losers. I'm tired of losing. He doesn't bring the right brand, if you will, to the table, and he doesn't galvanize the party or the country together."

The Granite State's Governor then shifted his focus to targeting Ohio senator JD Vance, who endorsed Trump recently, deeming him to be a more electable candidate than Haley, as per The Hill.

Sununu continued, "So, I appreciate JD Vance is hoping to get a job and another job in Washington, DC. Because he joined the Senate, realizes they don't do much, wants another job with...with the president.”

"But at the end of the day, all these guys that are kowtowing up to the president, I've talked to them all behind the scenes. They don't respect this guy. They're just kowtowing up to him out of fear, or in the hopes to get something, another gig," asserted the New Hampshire Governor.

Internet reacts as Gov Chris Sununu takes a dig at Donald Trump

Netizens enjoyed Sununu’s verbal jabs at Trump, however, they remained skeptical of him since he revealed a few weeks back that he would support whoever the GOP chooses to be their presidential nominee.

One remarked, "He’s still gonna vote for him lol," and another added, "Didn’t Sununu say he’s going to vote for Trump if he’s the nominee?"

A person expressed, "He talks a good game, but when push comes to shove, it's party over democracy for him. When Sununu was asked if he would vote for Trump if he wins the nomination, he said he would."

"got us a republican fight now lol," quipped a person, while someone else remarked, "Says the guy who will still support the loser."

An individual opined, "Them knowing Trump is bad for the country but support him for they're own financial and status reasons is disgusting."
