Hillary Clinton slammed for mocking Trump administration over war plans group chat blunder

WASHINGTON, DC: Hillary Clinton was slammed online after she mocked top President Donald Trump administration officials for mistakenly adding The Atlantic's editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, to a Signal message chain discussing recent military strikes in Yemen.
The former secretary of state took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "You have got to be kidding me" including an eyes emoji and linking The Atlantic's article, according to the New York Post.

Hillary Clinton mocks Trump administration as group chat blunder unfolds
Hillary Clinton's tweet came after The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg revealed the shocking breach of national security that involved high-level Trump administration officials in an article titled "The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans" on Monday, March 24.
The journalist revealed in the article that he was mistakenly added to a group chat called "Houthi PC small group" that apparently included Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and other Trump administration officials.

He added that internal deliberations and operational details about airstrikes against Houthi targets were discussed in the chat, per the outlet.
Notably, Goldberg was added to the Signal chain on March 11 and the strikes were carried out on March 15, as per the New York Post.
Interestingly, Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign was derailed in part as she decided to use a private email server while serving as former President Barack Obama's secretary of state, according to Daily Mail.

Her then rival, Trump, consistently attacked her for using the unsecured server with his crowds chanting, "Lock her up!"
Goldberg wrote in his piece, "What I will say, in order to illustrate the shocking recklessness of this Signal conversation, is that the Hegseth post contained operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the US would be deploying, and attack sequencing."
Waltz, who created the group chat and invited Goldberg to join, is currently the most endangered Trump official involved in the brewing scandal, as reported by Politico.

A person close to the White House was quoted saying, per the outlet, "Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a f*****g idiot."
