WASHINGTON, DC: 'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg tore into Republican Senator JD Vance for his disparaging remarks aimed at Vice President Kamala Harris and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Vance, who has been selected as Donald Trump's running mate for the 2024 presidential election, caused uproar by referring to Harris and AOC as "childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives."

Whoopi Goldberg's emotional condemnation

Whoopi Goldberg did not hold back during a segment of 'The View' directly addressing Vance's comments and their implications. She vehemently criticized Vance's derogatory language towards female lawmakers.

"You never had a baby! So you know nothing about this!" Goldberg exclaimed passionately, pointing out Vance's lack of personal experience in childbirth.

She emphasized the diversity of personal choices people make regarding parenthood, stating, "Sir, there are people who have chosen not to have children for whatever reason. There are people who want to have children who cannot."

In a particularly emotional response, Goldberg expressed deep offense at Vance's remarks, directly addressing him, "How dare you! You never had a baby. Your wife had a baby, but you never had a baby. So you know nothing about this. And how dare you! And women, you heard how he thinks of you. Yeah. This is not good for you, JD!"

Origins of JD Vance's controversial comments

JD Vance's controversial comments originated from an old Fox News segment where he questioned the commitment of female lawmakers like Harris and AOC, implying they lack a direct stake in the country due to their choice not to have children.

The backlash comes amidst Vance's recent elevation as Trump's vice presidential pick, announced on July 15 during the Republican National Convention.

Previously, Trump had teased various prospects including Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, before settling on Vance, a former critic turned ally.

Vance's political journey has been marked by significant shifts in stance towards Donald Trump. Initially critical, Vance's view evolved after meeting Trump in 2021, where he acknowledged the former president's accomplishments and impact. "I was certainly skeptical of Donald Trump in 2016, but President Trump was a great president and he changed my mind," Vance remarked.

JD Vance slammed for his disparaging remarks against Kamala Harris

The public response to JD Vance's disparaging remarks about childless women, particularly lawmakers like Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has been one of widespread condemnation and incredulity.

One user wrote, "Having no children doesn't mean a lack of morals."

Another user added, "They block IVF rights, then criticize women if they don't have children. What???"

One commented, "Just because you don't have kids, doesn't mean you don't have them in your life (nieces, nephews, etc) or care about kids and their future! It's ridiculous."

One individual said, "All this from JD Vance when he’s also against IVF the idiocy."

Another stated, "Vance has a approval rating of a negative 6, they said this has never happened in history for anybody to be in the negative. So he won that, what an embarrassment."

One commented,"Whether I have children or not is none of your business JD Vance! Take a hike!"

Another added, "t’s not only this comment from Vance, but also the statement about women staying in abusive relationships “for the kids”."

One said, "Vance is repugnant and no integrity."
